The ARF 5K promises a morning of fun, bringing together families, fitness enthusiasts, and their furry companions. This exciting event aims to raise crucial funds to support ARF’s mission of providing haven and care for homeless cats and dogs until they’re adopted. Since 1986, our volunteer-run, non-profit, no-kill shelter has rescued, rehabilitated and found loving homes for thousands of cats and dogs.

Dog Costume Contest
Don’t forget to dress up your pup in their best costume! At 9:30AM, before the race, Beacon Parks and Recreation Director will judge the dog with the Most Original Costume and Most Hilarious Costume… and there’s prizes!
Awards & SWAG
Awards will be given out by overall human, dog, and age category finishers. All dogs participating in the 5k receive SWAG (if registered before May 17). Human participants also receive a t-shirt (guaranteed if registered before Apr 30). See all the awards here >

Dog & Child Safety
With over 200 attendees and 70+ dogs, if you decide to bring your dog with you, follow our guidelines to ensure you, your pet, and everyone else have a great time. Review >

We will have Animal Rescue Foundation merch available like t-shirts, tank tops, and dog bandanas. All proceeds directly support the care of the cats and dogs waiting for homes at ARF.
